Boroni Fisa O Ayen. Edited by Ganga Charan Kachari, Boroni Fisa O Ayen (Son of the Boros and its Customary Laws) was the first printed book in Bodo language. It was published by Habraghat Boro Sanmiloni in the year 1915. Bodo is one of the 22 scheduled languages of India. It is a rich, ancient language, used by Bodo people of Assam. Boroni Phisa O Ayen was a bi-lingual book, written in Bodo and Bengali language.

Moamoria Rebellion started in which year?

Answer

In 1769. Moamoria Rebellion is considered as one of the key reasons of downfall of the Ahom Kingdom. It was a conflict between Ahom Kings and the Moran people of upper Assam, who were disciple of the Moamara Sattra. Rise of vaishnavism, Ahom Paik System and internal clash among Ahom royals were the key reasons of the rebellion. In 1769, the rebels occupied Ahom capital. Though Ahoms recaptured the capital, the rebellion continued till 1806.

It was the last battle between Ahom Kingdom and Mughals.

In 1662. Mir Jumla was a Governor (Subahdar) of Bengal under the Mughal Empire Aurangzeb. In the year 1662, Mir Jumla captured Garhgaon, the capital city of Ahom kingdom. But Mughals failed to maintain the hold over the captured Ahom territory. A large number of Mughal soldiers died due to disease, starvation and attacks. Mir Jumla finally signed a treaty with Ahom and decided to retreat. He died on his way back from Assam in 1663.

After it’s birth in the year 1609, Paik System continued to evolve and proved to be one of the powerful administrative tools in Ahom kingdom.

Who shifted the Capital of Ahom Kingdom to Rangpur?

Swargadeo Rudra Singha. In 1702-03, Ahom King Rudra Singha shifted his capital from Gargaon to a place called Meteka, which is about 5 km away from modern say Sibsagar city. Singha named his capital Rangpur. Apart from being the Capital of Ahom Kingdom, Rangpur also served as a military base of the Kingdom. Rangpur retained it’s status as Ahom capital till year 1794.

ASRLMS is an acronym for Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission Society (ASRLMS). The Society was registered under Societies Registration Act on 11th Nov 2011. The Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission Society is responsible for implementing the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) in Assam, the North Eastern state of India. The goal is to reduce poverty in rural areas by creating self managed community institutions of the participating rural households and enhancing income through promoting sustainable livelihoods.
