Who was the Last King of Varman Dynasty?

Kumar Bhaskar Varman was the last Varman King to rule Kamrupa Kingdom. Bhaskar Varman was a
bachelor and died without a heir. After the death of Bhaskar Varma,
Salasthambha became the ruler and established Mlechchha Dynasty in Kamrupa. So,
that was the end of Varman Dynasty in Kamrupa.

Some historians claim that Avanti Varman was the last Varman king. But there is
no clear information to support that claim.

Varman dynasty was the first historical rulers of Kamrupa kingdom in Assam. The
founder king of Varman dynasty was Pushya Varman. He
established the dynasty in around 350AD. Pushya Varman was a powerful ruler and
he maintained good relation with other kingdoms including Samudra Gupta’s Gupta
Empire. From 350 AD to 650 AD, Varman dynasty ruled and expanded Kamrupa Kindom
or Pragjyotisha Kingdom.

Guwahati and Lower Assam, made him king of Ahom Kingdom. Sulikphaa was a puppet
